On behalf of the director
Clown theatre for children aged 4 and over
About the play
What is he wondering about? Perhaps about a tiny little thing like a balloon? To understand this, one has to know, that the clown is stuck in a situation, where every little thing becomes a big problem.
The thing is, that instead of the director, who is unavailable today, it's him who has to perform! For children!
Okay then, he's having a go at it. But no! No matter how much he tries, the challenges already start with the simple things and - of course - don't stop when it becomes special and complicated. If a walking stick already makes a lot of trouble, what can you expect from a magic wand?! And then there are brooms, telephones, juggling balls and real fire. Thats why it's even more remarkable that some things are actually working in the end.
But nothing would work without the children.
They instruct, protest, correct and laugh at him, and solve his difficulties.
That's why in the end, the whole thing eventually turns into a clown spectacle.

About me
You could almost say that I was destined to be a clown from an early age, as I was literally born into a clown family. My parents Verena Vondrak and Hubertus Zorell worked for CliniClowns Austria for years - both as hospital clowns and artistic directors - and co-founded Vienna's first clown theater, the "Theater Olé", a good 15 years ago.
I also gained my first experience as a clown in one of my parents' workshops and, about two years ago, inherited the play "On behalf of the director", which my father played for decades - and to which I have a great personal connection.
When I'm not clowning, I love traveling around the world and hope that my play will also get to know many more places!
